Week Without Walls
Beginning in 2010-2011, every upper school student has participated in a week-long Week Without Walls (WWW). Our goal has been to involve our students in an authentic, outside-the-classroom experience. The primary purpose of WWW is to provide a unique learning opportunity otherwise not possible in the daily classroom. It is an opportunity for students to build friendships, develop team building and leadership skills, travel to locations outside the school, experience unfamiliar cultures, participate in activity-based programs that include community service, learn about careers by 'doing the work' and prepare for IB exams.
Sample Week Without Walls Activities:
Grade 8: International leadership development trips to Switzerland, Romania and Sri Lanka that includes leadership development, team building, first aid training, sports activities, and a historical/cultural component.
