All for Haiti Club PDF Print E-mail

One fateful Tuesday, Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake, killing thousands and leaving many homeless.    AIS-R was quick to respond and the All for Haiti Club was assembled, headed by sophomores Meghna Sathiapalan and Haya Hejailan.  All other eight sophomores played an integral part in helping organize and carry out three consecutively successful bake sales, as well as encouraging bottle donations just a week after the calamity.  With the help of the Club de la Francophonie and One Club, the total amount raised in two and a half weeks was about SR3000.  This money was sent to Doctors Without Borders stationed in Port-au-Prince.  Just like the rest of the world, our mulit-cultural school society united in extending a helping hand to gently pull Haiti out of the rubble.
