Technology integration gives students, a solid, yet practical, grounding in basic computer skills through the use of a broad range of software in all subjects of study, especially language arts, science, social studies and math. The grade level expectations are defined in the K-12 Technology Scope and Sequence and ensure age appropriate skills are developed. Students learn to use standard tools such as word, processors, spreadsheets and graphics programs; to explore multimedia software and associated peripherals; and to acquire such fundamental skills as keyboarding and the use of appropriate computer vocabulary. Students in ECE program (Grades KG2 - 2) have designated computer lab time, while technology skills in the UES program (Grades 3 - 5) are integrated into instruction as part of the daily learning experience, in addition to their dedicated computer lab time.
