What do the counselors do?

The Elementary Counselors

• Work with parents, teachers, and students
• Support academic, social, and emotional needs of AIS-R students Pre-K through Grade 5.
• Testing, entrance exams for new ES students
• Support a smooth transition at all levels
• Resource to teachers implementing our Second Step: Social Skills Curriculum.
• Individual counseling
• Small group counseling
• Teacher and parent consultation
• Child Study Team facilitator
• Support parents through parent presentations, workshops, and providing resources and referrals.
