My name is Sama and I attended AIS-R from KG II all the way to grade 12. I am at the University of Florida in the Honors Program. I miss the diversity and the people at AIS-R the most. We were such a diverse group of people and we really had a good understanding of each other. I love how we would learn about each others' cultures by sharing language, food, thoughts and expressions. It's something I really miss here. I also feel like being able to be so well cultured was an integral part of my upbringing that was really influenced by the wonderful people with whom I studied. I feel that AIS-R prepared me well for university. I'm one of the top students in the Honors program. Most of it has to do with the pressures and stresses of IB, though. Our teachers at AIS-R were fantastic. My name is Sama and I attended AIS-R from KG II all the way to grade 12. I am at the University of Florida in the Honors Program. My name is Jean-Pierre and I attended AIS-R for four years, recently having graduated in 2011. I am currently teaching Elementary Drama at AIS-R, and this is a temporary job before I head out to South Africa in order to attend university. I really believe AIS-R prepared me for what is coming at university, in that I can handle the tight deadlines, the long hours of study, and the occasional all-nighter (thanks to IB). But apart from that, AIS-R is an environment in which students learn to get along with other students from around the world, and I believe that cultural perspective will prove to be a real advantage when applying myself in tasks ahead. In all honestly, I'm thankful for having had such amazing teachers during my high school experience, who really made my time at AIS-R a true blessing.

My name is Fatima I went to the American International School-Riyadh from KG I till grade 12. Those 14 years were the best years of my life. I miss all the people at AIS-R especially my friends and teachers. The AIS-R community was like a family. The only reason I am where I am is because of my teachers. They prepared me really well for university. I go to Rutgers The State University of New Jersey and I am doing really well.

My name is Yonca and I attended AIS-R for all of High School, grade 9 through grade 12. I miss everything about AIS-R! AIS-R did its best in preparing me for the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, however there is a big difference between High School and University which one cannot be fully prepared for. We all just have to face this transition and work our ways through it on our own. I love it here, regardless of the rainy days which Vancouver is known for! The University of British Columbia has a beautiful large campus with a wide range of comfortable study spaces. Whether indoors in one of the many libraries that UBC offers or outside at a park (when it is not raining, of course) the campus makes studying more enjoyable.

My name is Moiz and AIS-R was my life since the day I walked into kindergarten to the day I graduated High School. For 14 years AIS-R was my home and my family. And now for the first time in 14 years, being away from AIS-R really reminds me of what the school and everyone there meant to me. AIS-R was more than just a school. It was a community - it was a culture. There are some things that only AIS-R kids will ever understand or will ever share in common. There are some values that are just intrinsic to the classes that have had the opportunity to graduate from AIS-R and it is because of AIS-R and my time there, that I have been able to start medical school straight out of high school at the University of Missouri Kansas City's School of Medicine. It really did well to prepare me for the real world as I see kids here struggling to keep up with the rigorous course load. When people here ask me where I'm from, I'm proud to say that I am a member of AIS-R's Graduating Class of 2011.

My name is Aya and I attended AIS-R for 4 years. I miss many things about AIS-R, notably, the student center, the library and the cafeteria. I am currently attending LAU, Lebanese American University in Beirut. I am doing fine, although it takes time to get used to life in a new place. AIS-R prepared me for university life by helping me to be more confident and to speak without being afraid. I miss AIS-R very much!
